Omschrijving
In 1934 opgericht GRAFMONUMENT voor schrijfster Johanna van der Woude, bestaande uit een vierkante sokkel en daarbij een stenen beeld in de vorm van een vrouw in klassieke vormgeving, leunende op de sokkel, met in haar rechterhand een krans. Uitgevoerd in hardsteen en zink. Graf omheind door palen met ketting.
Tekst: "Johanna Woude / S.M.C. van Wermeskerken - Junius / schrijfster en moeder / overleden 26 nov 1905/ opgericht 1934 / 50 jaar nadat Hollandsch binnenhuisje verscheen / door haar vereerders ". Op de sokkel: "dichteres van het heilig huwlijk en de muziek des levens / zij was haar kinderen en duizende hollandschen vrouwen een hooge leidster".
Tegen de sokkel vier stenen boeken met titels van de schrijfster: Hollandsch binnenhuisje, Hollandsche lelie, Verlaten post, Tom en ik.
Graf omsloten door een bijbehorend laag hekwerk, bestaande uit zes rechthoekige paaltjes waartussen een ketting.

Grafmonument voor Johanna van Woude van algemeen belang vanwege de kunsthistorische waarde als voorbeeld van karakteristieke vormgeving en vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van de begraafplaats Kovelswade.

Description
GRAVE MONUMENT established in 1934 for authoress Johanna van der Woude, consisting of a square base and an adjoining stone sculpture in the form of a woman in classical design, leaning on the base, with a wreath in her right hand. Executed in sandstone and zinc. Grave enclosed by posts with chain.
Text: "Johanna Woude / S.M.C. van Wermeskerken - Junius / authoress and mother / died 26 Nov 1905 / erected 1934 / 50 years after Dutch Home Interior appeared / by her admirers". On the base: "poetess of holy matrimony and the music of life / she was to her children and thousands of Dutch women a great guide".
Against the base four stone books with titles by the authoress: Dutch Home Interior, Dutch Lily, Abandoned Post, Tom and I.
Grave enclosed by an associated low fence, consisting of six rectangular posts with a chain between them.
Valuation
Grave monument for Johanna van Woude of general importance by virtue of its art-historical value as an example of characteristic design and by virtue of its funerary-historical value as part of the Kovelswade cemetery.
