Omschrijving
GRAFMONUMENT bestaande uit hardstenen zerk en geklonken ijzeren constructie, uitgevoerd in de vorm van een spoorbrug. Tekst op staande plaat: " Rustplaats van onzen lieven man en vader Luit Blom/ geb. 14 nov. 1878 - overl. 25 aug. 1932/ en onze lieve moeder Cornelia Susanna van Dokkum/ geb. 15 febr. 1880 - overl. 13 aug. 1960 / ps 116:11". En op plaatje er bij gezet: "Ter nagedachtenis aan onzen hooggeachten chef en vriend L. Blom van beambten en werklieden van Werkspoor".

Grafmonument van algemeen belang vanwege de kunsthistorische waarde vanwege de opmerkelijke vormgeving en tevens vanwege de funerair-historische waarde als onderdeel van begraafplaats Kovelswade.

Description
GRAVE MONUMENT consisting of hard stone slab and riveted iron construction, executed in the form of a railway bridge. Text on standing plate: " Resting place of our dear husband and father Luit Blom/ born 14 Nov. 1878 - died 25 Aug. 1932/ and our dear mother Cornelia Susanna van Dokkum/ born 15 Feb. 1880 - died 13 Aug. 1960 / ps 116:11". And on a small tablet placed next to it: "In memory of our highly esteemed chief and friend L. Blom from employees and workers of Werkspoor".
Valuation
Grave monument of general importance on account of art-historical value on account of the remarkable design and also on account of funerary-historical value as part of Kovelswade cemetery.
