Schoorsteen uit 1930 bij de AaBe-fabriek.
Omschrijving
De ronde schoorsteen is opgetrokken in baksteen en voorzien van een decoratieve achtzijdige voet met lisenen en fries, een schacht met het jaartal 1930 en een zeer decoratieve kop met siermetselwerk in afwijkende kleur steen, bestaande banden en een rondboogfries.
Waardering
De in 1930 gebouwde schoorsteen is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- de zeer decoratieve uitvoering met gedeeltelijk kleurig siermetselwerk; dergelijke decoratieve schoorstenen werden vrijwel uitsluitend in de textielnijverheid toegepast;
- de zeldzaamheid en de gaafheid van zulke decoratieve schoorstenen;
- de functionele en visuele relatie met ketelhuis en productiehallen;
- de bakenfunctie in het stadslandschap van Tilburg, waar deze schoorsteen één van de weinige herinneringen is aan het industrielandschap van weleer.

The round chimney is constructed in brick and provided with a decorative octagonal base with pilasters and frieze, a shaft with the year 1930 and a highly decorative top with ornamental brickwork in contrasting colour stone, consisting of bands and a round-arch frieze.
Valuation
The chimney built in 1930 is of general importance because of:
- the highly decorative execution with partly coloured ornamental brickwork; such decorative chimneys were applied almost exclusively in the textile industry;
- the rarity and integrity of such decorative chimneys;
- the functional and visual relationship with boiler house and production halls;
- the beacon function in the urban landscape of Tilburg, where this chimney is one of the few reminders of the industrial landscape of yesteryear.
