Inleiding
R.K. Pastorie in traditionalistische stijl uit 1934 behorende bij de St. Willibrorduskerk. De pastorie is ontworpen door architect C. de Bever uit Eindhoven. De kerk grenst aan de westkant van de pastorie.
Omschrijving
De pastorie bestaat gedeeltelijk uit een en twee bouwlagen onder zadeldaken gedekt met gotische pannen De opgaande muren bestaan uit machinale baksteen, gemetseld in versprongen halfsteensverband voorzien van natuursteen aanzetstenen en vlechtwerk in de topgevels.
Het hoge dak heeft twee hoekschoorstenen. In beide daken een zogenoemde Vlaamse gevel (dakkapel).
De muuropeningen bevatten stalen ramen met kleine roedenverdeling.
De tuin van de pastorie heeft aan de straatkant een smeedijzeren hekwerk tussen gemetselde pilasters staande op een gemetselde ezelsrug.
Waardering:
De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het zuiden van Nederland en is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de pastorie. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de stijl en de detaillering en vanwege de plaats in het oeuvre van de architect De Bever. Description
The rectory consists partly of one and two storeys under gabled roofs covered with Gothic tiles. The exterior walls consist of machine-made brick, laid in offset half-brick bond provided with natural stone quoins and lattice work in the top gables.
The high roof has two corner chimneys. In both roofs a so-called Flemish gable (roof dormer).
The wall openings contain steel frames with small glazing bars.
The rectory garden has a wrought iron fence between brick pilasters standing on a brick back at the street side.
Valuation:
The rectory is of general importance. It has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of the development of Catholicism in the south of the Netherlands and is also important for the typological development of the rectory.
