Valuation

The city villa possesses cultural-historical value as an example of a residential and practice space for a physician-apothecary built in the Interbellum in the centre of Heerlen. The architectural-historical value of the building is determined by the particular importance of the object for the oeuvre of architect J. Stuyt, the high-quality aesthetic qualities of the design, the use of materials, the ornamental work and the special coherence between exterior and interior. The city villa is part of a street frontage which by virtue of its situation is connected with the expansion of the centre of Heerlen and the building is also of particular distinction for the city.
