onderdeel 4. Boerderij
Net buiten de 'gracht', ten zuiden van de Engelse tuin, bevindt zich een boerderij (19de eeuw). De boerderij heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één verdieping onder een met pannen gedekt zadeldak. De voorgevel is van een, voor een boerderij, ongewone architectuur. Hier is bewust een relatie gelegd tussen de gevel en het aanzien vanuit de tuin. De topgevel is opgetrokken uit baksteen met drie boogvensters met forse, in baksteen uitgevoerde, 'gebosseerde' omlijstingen. De overige gevels van de boerderij zijn opgetrokken uit baksteen en voorzien van schuifvensters. component 4. Farmhouse
Just outside the 'moat', south of the English garden, there is a farmhouse (19th century). The farmhouse has a rectangular plan and counts one storey under a saddle roof covered with tiles. The front facade is of an unusual architecture for a farmhouse. Here a deliberate relationship has been established between the facade and the appearance from the garden. The gable is constructed of brick with three arched windows with robust, brick-executed, 'bossaged' surrounds. The remaining facades of the farmhouse are constructed of brick and provided with sash windows. The farmhouse is of general importance because of its architectural history, ornamental value (facade image facing the garden) and its significance for the Schouwenburg country estate.
