Omschrijving complexonderdeel 5
Ten westen van de colonnade in het Cantonspark gelegen FONTEIN in de vorm van een waterval. De waterval werd vervaardigd in 1750 voor de buitenplaats Oud-Rozenburg te Diemermeer, gemeente Amsterdam, en in 1915 door August Janssen overgeplaatst naar zijn park. De waterval stond oorspronkelijk als fontein in de wintertuin. Aan de achterzijde is de aansluiting voor de waterleiding nog aanwezig. De ongeveer twee meter hoge hardstenen waterval bestaat uit een rechthoekig onderstuk met een tweetal waterbakken met gebeeldhouwd water in reliëf. Erboven bevindt zich een motief van twee lauwertakken en een ronde lauwerkrans. Uit het hart van deze ronding loopt een stroom water naar de onderste zone.

Description of complex component 5
FOUNTAIN in the form of a waterfall, located to the west of the colonnade in the Cantonspark. The waterfall was manufactured in 1750 for the country estate Oud-Rozenburg in Diemermeer, municipality of Amsterdam, and was relocated in 1915 by August Janssen to his park. The waterfall originally stood as a fountain in the winter garden. On the rear side the connection for the water pipe is still present. The approximately two-metre-high ashlar waterfall consists of a rectangular lower section with two water basins with sculptured water in relief. Above this is a motif of two laurel branches and a round laurel wreath. From the heart of this roundel flows a stream of water towards the lower zone.
