Het aan de noordzijde naast de wintertuin gelegen TENNISHUISJE is omstreeks 1905 gebouwd in chaletstijl en is een overblijfsel van de tennisbaan, die in het Cantonspark gelegen was. Het object is op een T-vormige plattegrond boven een hardstenen plint opgetrokken uit verticale houten rabatdelen. Het is afgedekt met een zadeldak met steekkap, beiden voorzien van leien in maasdekking. De gevels hebben een symmetrische indeling.
De voorgevel bevat in het midden de hoofdingang die bestaat uit openslaande dubbele deuren. Hiervoor is een portaal geplaatst met de genoemde topgevel, die wordt gesierd door snijwerk in de topgevel en de zwikken naast de stijlen. Aan de topgevel is een verlichtingsarmatuur bevestigd. De zijgevels bevatten openslaande vensters. De topgevels zijn eveneens uitgevoerd met houtsnijwerk. De achtergevel is blind.

The TENNIS HOUSE located on the northern side next to the winter garden was built around 1905 in chalet style and is a remnant of the tennis court, which was located in Cantonspark. The object is constructed on a T-shaped ground plan above a hardstone plinth of vertical wooden board-and-batten sections. It is covered with a gabled roof with a saddle extension, both provided with slates in Maastricht bond. The façades have a symmetrical arrangement.
The front façade contains in the middle the main entrance which consists of opening double doors. In front of this a portico is placed with the said gable, which is decorated by carved work in the gable and the spandrels beside the uprights. An illumination fixture is attached to the gable. The side façades contain opening windows. The gables are likewise executed with wood carvings. The rear façade is blank.

The tennis house is of cultural-historical value because of its former recreational function. It is of architectural-historical value because of the building style, the use of materials and the detailing.
