Midden in het Cantonspark, verhoogd gelegen COLONNADE, vervaardigd in 1750 voor de in 1742 gestichtte buitenplaats Oud-Rozenburg in de Diemermeer, gemeente Amsterdam. De colonnade werd in verband met de aanleg van de Oosterbegraafplaats opgekocht door A. Janssen en in 1915 geplaatst in het Cantonspark. De follie was oorspronkelijk bedoeld als -open- thee-prieel met vrij uitzicht in noordelijke richting op de Eem en de polders. De hardstenen colonnade is opgetrokken op een achthoekige plattegrond en bestaat uit acht Ionische zuilen waartussen balustrades met balusters zijn geplaatst. De twee groepen van vier zuilen dragen elk een geknikt hoofdgestel. Hierop staan replica's uit 1994 van achttiende eeuwse vazen. In het bakstenen fundament is een ronde hardstenen plaat aangebracht met de tekst `verplaatst van Oud-Rozenburg in de Diemermeer naar Cantonspark Baarn 1915'. Op twee andere medaillons staat het jaartal '1750'.

COLONNADE, located centrally in the Cantonspark at an elevated position, manufactured in 1750 for the country estate Oud-Rozenburg in the Diemermeer, municipality of Amsterdam, founded in 1742. The colonnade was purchased by A. Janssen in connection with the construction of the Oosterbegraafplaats and placed in the Cantonspark in 1915. The folly was originally intended as an open tea pavilion with a clear view northwards towards the Eem and the polders. The ashlar colonnade is built on an octagonal ground plan and consists of eight Ionic columns with balustrades fitted with balusters between them. The two groups of four columns each carry a broken entablature. Upon these stand replicas from 1994 of eighteenth-century vases. In the brick foundation is set a round ashlar plaque bearing the text 'relocated from Oud-Rozenburg in the Diemermeer to Cantonspark Baarn 1915'. On two other medallions is the year '1750'.
