Inleiding
Woning gebouwd in 1912 in opdracht van de Drentsche Landontginning Mij. gevestigd te Rotterdam, als beambtewoning bij de Griendtveense Turfstrooiselfabriek.
De bescherming betreft het totale bouwvolume inclusief de detaillering van de gevels.
Beschrijving
Gedeeltelijk onderkelderde woning, opgetrokken in baksteen over één bouwlaag, vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond, onder een met muldenpannen gedekt zadeldak. In alle gevels T-vensters met drieruits bovenlicht en gebogen bovendorpel. De vensters worden verbonden door speklagen van geel metselwerk, die met de bovendorpels meebuigen.
In de voorgevel (N) rechts van het midden de entree in een portiek, rechts één, links twee van de genoemde T-vensters. In de geveltop twee rechtgesloten T- vensters. Opvallend is het sierspant met makelaar in de windveren.
Aan de einden van de rechtergevel (W) een T-venster, in het midden een kelderraam en een mezzanino venster.
De linkergevel (O) heeft dezelfde geleding als de rechter.
Aan de achterzijde (Z) een keukenaanbouw onder platdak, met toegangsdeur en kleine vensters.
Van het interieur is de oorspronkelijk indeling gehandhaafd.

Description
Partly cellared dwelling, constructed in brick over one storey, from a rectangular floor plan, under a gabled roof covered with mulden tiles. In all facades T-windows with three-light fanlight and curved upper transom. The windows are connected by brick courses of yellow brickwork, which bend with the transoms.
In the front facade (N) to the right of centre the entrance in a porch, on the right one, on the left two of the mentioned T-windows. In the gable top two right-angled T-windows. Notable is the ornamental roof tie with brace in the wind braces.
At the ends of the right facade (W) a T-window, in the middle a basement window and a mezzanine window.
The left facade (E) has the same articulation as the right.
On the rear side (S) a kitchen extension under flat roof, with access door and small windows.
The original layout of the interior has been maintained.
