Omschrijving
Inleiding
HERENHUIS met ARTSENPRAKTIJK gebouwd ca. 1930 naar ontwerp van W. Hamdorff, in traditionalistische materialen met architectonische detaillering in Art Deco-stijl.
Het woongedeelte is nagenoeg ongewijzigd. De schuifpui op het balkon boven de garage is vernieuwd en de voordeur is naar voren verplaatst.
Het praktijkgedeelte functioneert nog als zodanig maar is inwendig ingrijpend gewijzigd.
Het pand is vormgegeven als hoekpand, hoewel het niet op de hoek van de straat ligt.
Omschrijving
Herenhuis met praktijk opgetrokken in gesinterde donkerbruine baksteen vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond over drie bouwlagen onder zadel- en platte daken, gedekt met rode machinale Hollandse pannen. Alle uitgemetselde rondbogen in rode baksteen van Romeins formaat. De originele kozijnen zijn in staal uitgevoerd.
In de voorgevel (O) met gesloten karakter centraal de trap naar de entree onder een uitgemetselde rondboog. Rechts de vensterpartijen van de begane grond en de verdieping, gevat in één kozijn. Erboven een balkon met drielicht venster- en deurpartij. Boven de entree een hoog kozijn met glas-in-lood onder een uitgemetselde rondboog. Links van de entree een dubbele garagedeur onder rondboog. Boven de garage een balkon met pergola. In de lange gevel van het balkon een dubbele glasdeur onder een uitgemetselde rondboog, op de verdieping een bandraam van vierruits vensters.
Geheel links in de voorgevel een poort onder steekkap met een stalen deur met daarin een aesculaap. Op de verdieping, overhoeks met de balkonmuur, een ingemetselde terracotta aesculaap met vrouwenfiguur.
In de achtergevel links een uitbouw en op de verdiepingen balkons. Verder verschillende meerruits vensterpartijen.
In het interieur van de woning hebben verschillende vertrekken de originele lambrizering, kastwanden en betegelde schouw behouden. Ook het trappenhuis is origineel. De woonkamer heeft een schuin aflopend verlaagd plafond. In de kelder deuren met de originele kleurstelling.

Herenhuis met praktijk van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege:
- de unieke typologie, die ook functioneel intact is gebleven
- de hoge kwaliteit van het ontwerp, met name in de architectonische detaillering

MANSION WITH MEDICAL PRACTICE built ca. 1930 designed by W. Hamdorff, in traditionalist materials with architectural detailing in Art Deco style.
The residential section is virtually unaltered. The sash window on the balcony above the garage has been renewed and the front door has been moved forward.
The practice section still functions as such but has undergone major internal alterations.
The building is designed as a corner building, although it does not stand at the corner of the street.
Description
Mansion with practice built in sintered dark brown brick from a rectangular floor plan over three storeys under gabled and flat roofs, covered with red machine-made Dutch tiles. All rendered round arches in red brick of Roman size. The original windows are executed in steel.
In the front facade (E) with closed character, centrally the staircase to the entrance under a rendered round arch. To the right the window sections of the ground floor and first floor, contained within one window frame. Above it a balcony with three-light window and door section. Above the entrance a tall window with leaded glass under a rendered round arch. To the left of the entrance a double garage door under round arch. Above the garage a balcony with pergola. In the long section of the balcony a double glass door under a rendered round arch, on the first floor a ribbon window of four-pane casements.
Far left in the front facade a gateway under a pitched roof with a steel door with an aesculapius symbol within. On the first floor, at an angle with the balcony wall, an inset terracotta aesculapius with female figure.
In the rear facade on the left an extension and on the upper storeys balconies. Further various multi-pane window sections.
In the interior of the residence various rooms have retained the original wall panelling, built-in cupboards and tiled fireplace. The stairwell is also original. The living room has a sloping lowered ceiling. In the basement doors with the original colour scheme.

Mansion with practice of architectural historical significance because of:
