Omschrijving complexonderdeel 1
De in het Blookerpark gelegen THEEKOEPEL heeft één bouwlaag op een hoefijzervormige plattegrond, waarvan de rechte zijde of voorgevel zich aan de oostkant (straatzijde) bevindt. Deze gevel is opgebouwd uit gemetselde keien. De voorgevel wordt door middel van rondhout verdeeld in een onderstuk, een fries en een fronton, hiermee verwijzend naar een Griekse tempel. De gevelhoeken zijn omlijst door houten afgeronde staanders. In het midden is een spitsboogvormige houten deur geplaatst. Deze is bewerkt met platte nagels die in diagonale rijenpatroon zijn aangebracht. De deur wordt aan beide zijden geflankeerd door een spitsboogvenster. Boven de deur is een plaquette aangebracht met daarin het jaar 1700 in Romeinse cijfers (MDCC) als romantische verwijzing naar een gefingeerd bouwjaar. Boven de plaquette bevinden zich twee horizontale balken die aansluiten op de eerder genoemde staanders op de gevelhoeken. De top van de gevel heeft een timpaan-achtige omlijsting, waarin een wijzerplaat met Romeinse cijfers is aangebracht. De wijzers van de klok staan onveranderlijk op 9.29 uur. De ronde westgevel is opgebouwd uit verticaal geplaatste halfronde stammen. Het met bitumen gedekte dakschild volgt hier de ronde vorm. In het midden bevindt zich een spitsboogvormige, dubbele houten deur met aan weerszijden een rondboogvormig venster, dat met luiken is dichtgezet. De vensters bieden uitzicht op het Blookerpark.
Waardering complexonderdeel 1
De theekoepel is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een romantisch natuurgevoel, zoals dat bij landschapsparken gebruikelijk was alsmede van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de betrekkelijke zeldzaamheid van het bouwtype. Tevens bezit deze follie een grote ensemble waarde als onderdeel van het Blookerpark.

In het Rijksprentenkabinet te Amsterdam bevindt zich een aquarel van Hermanus Numan (1744-1820) waarop het keienhuis staat afgebeeld. De aquarel is te dateren tussen 1800 en 1810.

Description of complex component 1
The TEAHOUSE located in the Blookerpark has one storey on a horseshoe-shaped plan, with its straight side or front facade facing east (street side). This facade is constructed of mortared pebbles. The front facade is divided by means of round timber into a lower section, a frieze and a pediment, thus alluding to a Greek temple. The corners of the facade are framed by rounded wooden uprights. In the centre is a pointed-arch wooden door. This is worked with flat nails arranged in a diagonal row pattern. The door is flanked on both sides by a pointed-arch window. Above the door a plaque is placed with the year 1700 in Roman numerals (MDCC) as a romantic reference to a fictitious construction date. Above the plaque are two horizontal beams that connect to the aforementioned uprights at the facade corners. The top of the facade has a pediment-like frame, in which a dial with Roman numerals is placed. The hands of the clock stand immoveably at 9.29 o'clock. The round west facade is constructed of vertically placed half-round logs. The bitumen-covered roof skin follows the round form here. In the centre is a pointed-arch, double wooden door with a round-arch window on either side, closed with shutters. The windows offer views over the Blookerpark.
