Omschrijving
De WOONHUIZEN met nummer 20 en 22 zijn beide opgetrokken in rode verblendsteen met geel-witte sierbanden en segmentbogen en gepleisterde aanzet- en sluitstenen. De gevel is in vieren gedeeld. De centrale geveldelen bevatten de ingangsportieken, de buitenste zijn beide voorzien van een erker van één bouwlaag. De linker erker is halfrond, de rechter erker is driezijdig. Boven de linker erker bevindt zich op de tweede verdieping een loggia. Het tweede geveldeel van links is afgesloten door een steekkap met zadeldak, het meest rechtse gedeelte door een steekkap met wolfeind. De steekkappen zijn afgewerkt met windveren, houten consoles en in het geval van het zadeldak een makelaar.
De vensters met bovenlichten zijn rechtgesloten of getoogd, de centrale ingangsportieken zijn geplaatst onder rondbogen. In de portieken paneeldeuren met bovenlichten, facetgeslepen glas, sierijzers en enkele eenvoudige Art Nouveau basreliëfs. Boven de bovenlichten een houten lijst met diamantkoppen.
De vensters op de eerste verdieping in het tweede geveldeel van rechts zijn segmentbogen met abstracte majolica tegeltableaus in de boogtrommels geplaatst.
Waardering
De woonhuizen zijn van algemeen architectuurhistorisch en stedenbouwkundig belang:

Description
The DWELLING HOUSES numbered 20 and 22 are both constructed in red facing brick with yellow-white decorative bands and segmental arches and plastered reveal and closing stones. The facade is divided into four parts. The central facade sections contain the entrance porticos; the outer ones are both provided with a bay window of one storey. The left bay window is semi-circular; the right bay window is three-sided. Above the left bay window is located on the second storey a loggia. The second facade section from the left is terminated by a gabled roof with saddle roof; the rightmost section by a gabled roof with half-hipped end. The gabled roofs are finished with wind vanes, wooden consoles and in the case of the saddle roof a bargeboard.
The windows with fanlights are rectangularly-closed or arched; the central entrance porticos are placed under round arches. In the porticos panel doors with fanlights, facet-cut glass, decorative ironwork and some simple Art Nouveau bas-reliefs. Above the fanlights a wooden moulding with diamond heads.
The windows on the first storey in the second facade section from the right are placed in segmental arches with abstract majolica tile tableaux in the arch soffits.

The dwelling houses are of general architectural-historical and urban-planning importance:
- due to the very pure Art Nouveau architectural style
- as part of an entire street frontage with Art Nouveau properties designed all at once
