Inleiding
De schaapskooi aan het eind van de Buntlaan is vermoedelijk rond 1850 gebouwd. De Buntlaan fungeerde in de negentiende eeuw als schaapsdrift en leidde naar de heidegronden op de Heuvelrug.
Omschrijving
Een aan het eind van de Buntlaan staande SCHAAPSKOOI op vrijwel rechthoekige plattegrond, onder afgewolfd zadeldak deels gedekt met Hollandse pannen en riet (nok en kopse kanten). De gevels zijn in baksteen opgetrokken.
In de afgeschuinde kopse kanten is en dubbele, houten lattendeur gezet die wordt geflankeerd door staande, gietijzeren en getoogde zesruits vensters aan de noordzijde en liggende, getoogde venster aan de zuidzijde. Boven de dubbele deur bestaat de gevel uit horizontale gepotdekselde delen. De houten kapconstructie verkeert in redelijk goede staat.
Waardering
De schaapskooi is van cultuurhistorische waarde in relatie met de ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis van het gebied, alsmede van architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een gaaf en zeldzaam bouwtype. Tevens van ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van het landschap.

Description
A SHEEP SHELTER standing at the end of the Buntlaan on an almost rectangular floor plan, under a barrel-vaulted gabled roof partly covered with Dutch pantiles and thatch (ridge and gable ends). The facades are constructed in brick.
In the chamfered gable ends is a double, wooden latticed door which is flanked by standing, cast iron and arched six-light windows on the north side and horizontal, arched window on the south side. Above the double door the facade consists of horizontally pot-tiled sections. The wooden roof truss structure is in reasonably good condition.
Valuation
The sheep shelter is of cultural-historical value in relation to the development history of the area, as well as of architectural-historical value as an example of an intact and rare building type. Also of ensemble value as part of the landscape.
