Omschrijving onderdeel 68:
NOORDMOLEN MET STUW, WATERRAD EN KEERMUUR behorende tot de buitenplaats Twickel. Bij de Oelerbeek staat een rode bakstenen watermolen op rechthoekige grondslag deels hout (west) en deels vakwerk met zandstenen basement. Het met rode Oud Hollandse pannen gedekte dak is een schilddak aan de westzijde en heeft aan de oostzijde een beschoten geveltop.
Tegen de houten oostgevel is een waterrad (vernieuwd in ca. 1988) en aan de zijkant een houten plankenbrug. De kademuur is opgebouwd uit Bentheimer zandsteen in grote blokken met elkaar verbonden door middel van doken (U-vormige haken). In de kadesteen boven de molenbrug de inscriptie 'Renovatum 1917' herinnerend aan het herstel van de molen in dat jaar. De Noordmolen werd al genoemd in de aankoopakte van het huis Eysins door Herman van Twickelo in 1347. Van oorsprong was de Noordmolen gebouwd als een tweelingmolen; een korenmolen waarvan alleen het fundament nog rest (gesloopt vóór 1830), en de nog bestaande oliemolen. Restauratie buitenzijde 1984-1985; binnenzijde 1989.

Description of component 68:
NOORDMOLEN WITH SLUICE, WATERWHEEL AND REVETMENT WALL belonging to the country estate Twickel. At the Oelerbeek stands a red brick water mill on rectangular ground plan partly of wood (west) and partly timber-framed with sandstone basement. The roof covered with red Old Dutch tiles is a hipped roof on the west side and has a boarded gable top on the east side.
Against the wooden east gable is a waterwheel (renewed c. 1988) and on the side a wooden plank bridge. The quay wall is built of Bentheimer sandstone in large blocks connected to each other by means of lewises (U-shaped clamps). In the quay stone above the mill bridge the inscription 'Renovatum 1917' recalling the restoration of the mill in that year. The Noordmolen was already mentioned in the deed of purchase of the house Eysins by Herman van Twickelo in 1347. Originally the Noordmolen was built as a twin mill; a corn mill of which only the foundation remains (demolished before 1830), and the still existing oil mill. Exterior restoration 1984-1985; interior 1989.
