Omschrijving onderdeel 56:
BOERDERIJ VAN HET DWARSHUISTYPE "Braamrot" uit ±1900 ten zuidwesten en dichtbij kasteel Twickel gelegen.
Het voorhuis van de dwarshuisboerderij bevindt zich onder een zadeldak, gedekt met antracietgrijze Hollandse pannen, het bedrijfsgedeelte onder een gelijk gedekt wolfdak. Aan de dakranden van het voorhuis zijn windveren en trekbalken bevestigd.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken in een bruine baksteen boven een Bentheimer zandstenen plint. Het voorhuis heeft pilasters op de hoeken en de gevel is geleed door zestienruits vensters onder zandstenen strekken. Alle ramen zijn behangen met Twickelluiken.
De hoofdingang, bestaande uit een houten deur met bovenlicht, is centraal in de voorgevel (W) geplaatst. Direct achter het voorhuis, in het bedrijfsgedeelte, bevindt zich aan beide zijden (N en Z) nog een deur. In de achtergevel wordt de gewijzigde baander geflankeerd door twee staldeuren, alle onder segmentbogen. Daartussen zijn twee kleine vierruits rondboogvensters geplaatst, erboven in het wolfeind een dakkapelletje.
In het bedrijfsgedeelte zijn kleine vierruits vensters geplaatst.
Waardering
De dwarshuisboerderij is van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:
- de functionele en ruimtelijke relatie met de overige onderdelen van het landgoed Twickel

Description of component 56:
FARMHOUSE OF THE TRANSVERSE HOUSE TYPE "Braamrot" from circa 1900 located to the southwest and close to Twickel castle.
The front house of the transverse house farmhouse is situated under a saddle roof, covered with anthracite-grey Dutch tiles, the business section under an equally covered half-hipped roof. At the roof edges of the front house wind braces and tie beams are fastened.
The gables are built in brown brick above a Bentheim sandstone plinth. The front house has pilasters on the corners and the gable is articulated by sixteen-pane windows beneath sandstone stretches. All windows are hung with Twickel shutters.
The main entrance, consisting of a wooden door with fanlight, is placed centrally in the front facade (W). Directly behind the front house, in the business section, there is a door on both sides (N and S). In the rear gable the altered band is flanked by two stable doors, all beneath segmental arches. Between these two small four-pane round-arched windows are placed, above them in the half-hipped end a small dormer window.
