Omschrijving bij onderdeel 7:
KEERMUUR VOORPLEIN behorende tot de buitenplaats Twickel. Rondom het voorplein een 18de-eeuwse zandstenen keermuur met een overkragende dekplaat. De keermuur gaat voor een deel in het basement van de bouwhuizen over. In de zuidwest en noordwest hoek wordt de muur door een natuurstenen trap naar de gracht onderbroken. Ter afsluiting van de westkant van het voorplein staan op de muur korte zuilen met bolvormige bekroning, waartussen een geschakelde ketting hangt.

Description of component 7:
RETAINING WALL FORECOURT belonging to the country estate Twickel. Around the forecourt an 18th-century sandstone retaining wall with an overhanging coping. The retaining wall in part transitions into the basement of the building houses. In the southwest and northwest corner the wall is interrupted by a natural stone staircase to the moat. At the closure of the west side of the forecourt stand on the wall short columns with spherical capping, between which a chain link hangs.
