Inleiding
In een traditioneel-ambachtelijke stijl omstreeks 1887 in opdracht van H. Roebroeck en H. Widdershoven gebouwde GESLOTEN HOEVE.
De hoeve is vrijstaand gesitueerd en markant gelegen op een heuvelrug bij de kern Vilt.
Het woonhuisgedeelte van de boerderij dateert uit 1909. Het bedrijfsgedeelte dateert uit 1887 en 1888.
De aanbouwen aan de linkerzijgevel en achtergevel zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving:
De gesloten hoeve heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het woonhuis telt twee bouwlagen onder een mansardedak met leien. De bedrijfsgedeelten tellen een bouwlaag onder zadeldaken met pannen.
Woonhuisgedeelte met gecementeerde rustica plint. Frontgevel woonhuis met decoratieve mergelbanden. Middendeel frontgevel licht vooruitspringend en uitlopend in een topgevel. Mergel sluitstenen boven de vensters. Decoratieve smeed- en gietijzeren muurankers.
Arcade-achtige decoratie in baksteen onder de dakrand. Decoratieve smeedijzeren roosters voor de keldervensters. Een dakkapel. In de achtergevel een venster van recentere datum.
INTERIEUR in beperkte mate intact, overigens niet beschermenswaardig.
Bedrijfsgedeelten met vensters en deuren deels met hardstenen omlijsting. Segmentboogvormige ijzeren stalvensters. Enkele segmentboogvormige houten poorten. Sluitstenen met de opschriften:"H.R. 1888" en "H.W. 1887".
Waardering:
De gesloten hoeve bezit cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. De gesloten hoeve bezit architectuurhistorische waarde wegens het bijzondere belang voor de bovenregionale geschiedenis van de architectuur en de toegepaste ornamentiek.
