Inleiding:
Met invloed van Neo Gotiek omstreeks 1885 in opdracht van de Familie Wehry gebouwde GRAFKELDER.
De kelder vormt een van de vier grafkelders op het kerkhof tegen de helling van de Couberg in Valkenburg aan de Geul.
Omschrijving:
Symmetrische indeling frontgevel. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is mergel. Spitsboogvormige houten deur met smeedijzeren beslag in een decoratieve spitsboogvormige omlijsting. Aan de bovenzijde van de deur vier kleine spitsboogvormige nissen. Deur geflankeerd door pilasters bekroont met kleine frontons. Frontgevel uitlopend in een horizontale afsluiting bekroont met een kruis. In de sokkel van het kruis de initialen M W.
Aan de bovenzijde van de deur een plaquette met de inscriptie : "Caveau de la Famille Wehry".
Van het INTERIEUR zijn onder meer van belang: plavuizenvloer; een negental grafnissen afgedekt met grafstenen.
Waardering:
De grafkelder van de familie Wehry is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke en typologische ontwikkeling. De grafkelder bezit architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege het belang voor de bovenregionale geschiedenis van de architectuur, de toepassing van mergel als bouwmateriaal en de ornamentiek. Ensemblewaarde ontleent de grafkelder aan de situering in de gravenwand op het het kerkhof tegen de helling van de Couberg en daarmee van betekenis voor het aanzien van dit deel van Valkenburg aan de Geul. De grafkelder is tenslotte van algemeen belang vanwege de architectonische gaafheid en de architectuurhistorische en typologische zeldzaamheid.

Above the door four small pointed-arched niches. Door flanked by pilasters crowned with small pediments. Front facade ending in a horizontal cornice crowned with a cross. In the base of the cross the initials M W.
Above the door a plaque with the inscription: "Caveau de la Famille Wehry".
From the INTERIOR among other things: tile floor; a total of nine burial niches covered with gravestones.
