Waardering

Assessment
The R.C. Church of Our Lady of Lourdes is of cultural-historical importance as a distinctive expression of a spiritual and typological development. The architectural-historical values are determined by the building style, the involvement of architect Peutz, the high aesthetic quality, the distinctive material use, the virtual absence of ornamentation and the distinctive relationship between exterior and interior.
The church is connected, due to its location, with the development and expansion of the city and is of great importance for the appearance of the city and district.
The church has remained in a high degree of integrity and is also of importance in relation to the visual integrity of the urban environment. Moreover, the church building possesses a considerable degree of architectural-historical and typological rarity.
