Inleiding
Linkerdeel (O.) van een in 1925-1926 tot stand gekomen DUBBELE VILLA. Gebouwd in opdracht van C. Schleicher; de opdracht voor dit deel van de villa werd later overgenomen door N.V. Aannemings Maatschappij voorheen J. Rozestraten. De architect was F.A. Warners; de constructeur van de fundering en het gewapend beton was A.F. Baak. Gebouwd in de stijl van de verstrakte Amsterdamse School, met herkenbare invloeden van het werk van de Amerikaanse architect Frank Lloyd Wright. N.B. Reeds in 1924 is er sprake van een verhoging van de kademuur aan het Noorder Amstelkanaal. Op de bestaande borstwering werd door F.A. Warners een opbouw ontworpen.
Omschrijving
Linkerdeel van bakstenen dubbelvilla bestaande uit een kelderverdieping en drie, deels vier bouwlagen. Ontworpen op een samengesteld rechthoekig grondplan met erkeruitbouwen en uitgevoerd met in- en uitspringende kubische vormen. Het geheel wordt gedekt door een plat dak. De voorgevel bevat een openslaande dubbele garagedeur. Deze inpandige garage was naast de keuken gelegen. De vensters tonen de voorkeur voor een horizontale roedenverdeling. Boven de hoofdverdieping bevindt zich een hoekloggia onder breed uitkragende lijst. De baksteenvlakken op deze 'loggiaverdieping' zijn in trapmotief decoratief uitgewerkt. De toegangsdeur tot de loggia is vanaf de straat zichtbaar. Boven de uitkragende lijst nog een blinde attiekzone. De zijgevel toont deels symmetrisch, deels asymmetrisch geplaatste vensters in diverse formaten met verticale stijlen en horizontale roedenverdeling. Uitkragende lijst, schoorsteen, risalerend zuidelijk geveldeel en entrée. Een kleine trap met oplopende borstwering geeft toegang tot de overdekte entrée. Bordes aan de tuinzijde. De achtergevel wordt gedomineerd door een zevenzijdige erker over twee verdiepingen.

Description
Left part of a brick double villa consisting of a basement storey and three, partly four storeys. Designed on a composite rectangular floor plan with bay projections and executed with recessed and projecting cubic forms. The whole is covered by a flat roof. The front facade contains an opening double garage door. This internal garage was situated next to the kitchen. The windows show a preference for horizontal glazing bars. Above the main floor is a corner loggia under a broad overhanging cornice. The brickwork on this 'loggia storey' is decoratively worked in a step motif. The access door to the loggia is visible from the street. Above the overhanging cornice is still a blind attic zone. The side facade shows partly symmetrical, partly asymmetrical placed windows in various formats with vertical mullions and horizontal glazing bars.
