Inleiding WOONHUIS, vrijstaand gesitueerd op een achtererf achter en behorend bij het in de jaren twintig verbouwde huis op nr. 22, gebouwd in circa 1885 in een eclectische bouwstijl met invloeden van de koloniale architectuur van Nederlands-Indië. De opdrachtgeefster was uit Java afkomstig. Het gebouw is thans nog in gebruik als woonhuis. De deuren in de zuidgevel op de begane grond zijn oorspronkelijk maar momenteel dichtgezet met houten platen; het hekwerk van de veranda tussen de kolommen is vernieuwd. Omschrijving Het karakteristieke gebouw is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt twee bouwlagen onder een zadeldak, belegd met een zwarte oude pan. De voorgevel die op het zuiden is georiënteerd, is vijf raamtraveeën breed. De zuidgevel en de kopse gevels zijn witgestuct en voorzien van schijnvoegen. De noordgevel is grauw gestuct. Op de verdieping bevinden zich tweedelige rondboogdeuren met glas met een geprofileerde stuc omlijsting om de rondbogen. In de zijgevels bevinden zich twee rondboogvensters. Langs de zuid- en oostgevel bevindt zich een om de hoek omlopende houten warande met trap en vierkante houten kolommen met kapitelen over twee bouwlagen. Tussen de kolommen is op de verdieping een houten hekwerk geplaatst. De gevels worden afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten bakgoot met een ajour gesneden houten daklijst. Waardering WOONHUIS, gebouwd in eclectische trant met elementen van de koloniale architectuur van Nederlands-Indië, van algemeen belang vanwege zijn cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de architectonische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp alsmede vanwege zijn typologische zeldzaamheid en gaafheid.

Introduction DWELLING HOUSE, situated free-standing on a rear plot behind and belonging to the house at no. 22, which was remodelled in the nineteen twenties, built circa 1885 in an eclectic architectural style with influences from the colonial architecture of the Dutch East Indies. The client was originally from Java. The building is currently still in use as a dwelling house. The doors in the south gable on the ground floor are original but currently closed off with wooden boards; the fencing of the veranda between the columns has been renewed. Description The characteristic building is constructed on a rectangular ground plan and comprises two storeys under a gabled roof, covered with black old tiles. The front facade, which is oriented to the south, is five window bays wide. The south gable and the end gables are white-plastered and provided with false joints. The north gable is grey-plastered. On the storey there are two-part round-arched doors with glass with a profiled stucco surround to the round arches. In the end gables there are two round-arched windows. Along the south and east gable is a wooden veranda running around the corner with stairs and square wooden columns with capitals over two storeys. Between the columns wooden fencing is placed on the storey. The gables are finished with a profiled wooden gutter with open-work carved wooden eaves moulding. Valuation DWELLING HOUSE, built in eclectic manner with elements of the colonial architecture of the Dutch East Indies, of general importance for its cultural-historical and architectural-historical value due to the architectural qualities of the design as well as for its typological rarity and integrity.
