Inleiding
RIOOLWATERZUIVERINGSINSTALLATIE die buiten het directe kampterrein is gelegen. De installatie is ontworpen in opdracht van de bezetter en gebouwd in de jaren 1943-1944. De ontwerpen zijn getekend door de Duitsers Schubert en Stamfeld.
Omschrijving
Samenstel van gebouwen bestaande uit een pompgebouw en een systeem van vloeivelden. Het pompgebouw is eenvoudig vormgegeven in baksteen opgetrokken en gedekt door een zadeldak met bitumineuze bedekking. Aan de noordzijde een aangebouwde put (in drie gedeelten met ijzeren trap en roosters) met eenvoudig hekwerk; eenvoudige ijzeren hijsinrichting. Het gebouw is voorzien van een kelderruimte waar het water in vier ronde putten stroomt om vervolgens te worden opgepompt door een daarboven geplaatste pomp (aanwezig maar niet in werking). Het water wordt via een systeem van kanaaltjes waarin strekken zijn gemetseld afgevoerd naar vloeivelden. Deze velden hebben een betonnen onderbouwing en een gemetselde afhellende afdeklaag met vanuit de middenas diagonaal lopende rioolpijpjes waardoor het gefilterde water weer naar de middenas en het afvoerkanaal kan teruglopen.

SEWAGE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY which is located outside the immediate camp grounds. The facility was designed by commission of the occupier and built in the years 1943-1944. The designs were drawn by the Germans Schubert and Stamfeld.
Description
Ensemble of buildings consisting of a pump building and a system of percolation fields. The pump building is simply designed, built in brick and covered by a gabled roof with bituminous covering. On the north side an attached well (in three sections with iron ladder and grilles) with simple railings; simple iron hoisting equipment. The building is provided with a cellar space where the water flows into four circular wells and is subsequently pumped up by a pump placed above (present but not in operation). The water is discharged via a system of channels with beds laid in mortar to percolation fields. These fields have a concrete base and a brick sloping covering layer with diagonally running sewer pipes from the central axis through which the filtered water can flow back to the central axis and the discharge channel.
