Omschrijving
GROT. Betonnen half-bolvormige grot, ingelegd met kiezelstenen aan de noordzijde van het park ten oosten van het huis. De vloer van deze grot bestaat uit een stervormig patroon van witte en zwarte kiezels. De grot biedt de wandelaar een gezicht in de lengterichting van de vijver in landschapsstijl. De grot dateert uit de tijd van Jan Pieter Six en is in ca. 1875 door zijn dochter Hester Sophie door een aquarel vereeuwigd (zie Bijdragen Bronnenonderzoek Jagtlust, afb.2).

Description
GROTTO. Concrete half-spherical grotto, inlaid with pebbles on the north side of the park east of the house. The floor of this grotto consists of a star-shaped pattern of white and black pebbles. The grotto offers the walker a view along the length of the landscape pond. The grotto dates from the time of Jan Pieter Six and was immortalised in around 1875 by his daughter Hester Sophie in an aquarelle (see Contributions to Source Research on Jagtlust, illustration 2).
