The register's description

KOETSHUIS, PAARDESTAL ANNEX TUINMANSWONING. H.M.A.F.

COACH HOUSE, STABLE ANNEX GARDENER'S DWELLING. Rectangular ensemble of coach house, stable and gardener's dwelling, which came into being in different building campaigns. The foundation of the coach house situated on the north side, which originally also housed a gardener's dwelling, was probably built at the end of the 18th century on the instructions of Hendrik Otto Arntzenius. In an arbitration deed from 1794 a newly to be made barn is mentioned, which according to this deed was located at the site of the aforementioned ensemble of coach house and dwelling (see Contributions Source Research Jagtlust, p. 6-9). The ensemble situated on the north side of coach house (right) and former dwelling (left) is constructed of light grey painted roughcast sections on a red brick base. The window and door surrounds are white and the doors are painted dark green. Front (north) facade: on the left side the front facade of the former dwelling, closed off by a spout gable, covered by a gabled roof with grey unglazed tiles, with on the ground floor centrally a panel door with 4-light fanlight (vertical glazing bars) with on either side an 18th-century 20-light sash window. On the storey above the door a loading hatch with 4-light fanlight (vertical glazing bars). On the top lintel of the door the painted text "In Den Gekentenden Draak", which dates from the time when Jkvr. H.M.A.F. Six had her studio of the same name in this dwelling. On the left gable of the former dwelling on the left two 18th-century 20-light sash windows and to the right of these an 18th-century 9-light window. The left horizontal shoulder section of the spout gable is crowned by a spherical ornamental piece. Originally the spout section was crowned by a hard stone coat of arms lion. On the right side the spout gable transitions into the horizontal drip moulding of the coach house, closed off by a wooden white-painted balustrade with baluster-shaped spindles. This balustrade is crowned on either side by a half wooden pomegranate vase in Louis XVI style. Centrally on the front (north) side of the coach house a double wooden late 18th-century stable door in Louis XVI style with panel sections with on each door at the top an eye-shaped window in a rectangular field with in the corners a pyramid-shaped relief. The double door is closed off by a cornice and flanked on either side by a grey painted pilaster with black painted fluting on hard stone base. On the right gable of the coach house an 18th-century 20-light sash window.

The ornamental framing of the doors of the coach house, as well as the closure of the facade with cornice and balustrade and ornamental pieces in Louis XVI style are presumably dated to circa 1900; in a photograph of the coach house from the last quarter of the 19th century (coll. Photo and Drawing Archive RDMZ) it can be seen that the coach house, which is now covered with a flat roof, was originally covered by a mansard roof covered with tiles. In this photograph the aforementioned double door is indicated. The spout gable of the former gardener's dwelling may also be the result of a historicising renovation.

Adjacent to the south side of the coach house and the former dwelling the stone white-plastered stable built circa 1900 with on the south side the gardener's dwelling. This ensemble is covered by a mansard roof covered with grey unglazed tiles. The west gable of the stable shows centrally a doorway with 4-light fanlight, on the left a small rectangular window and on the right a 3-light window. Above the latter window a 9-light roof dormer, which is crowned by a tympanum. To the right of this on the ground floor the doorway to the gardener's dwelling, above which an 8-light fanlight. The door is of recent date and of subsidiary importance for the protection. To the right of the door a 4-light window and adjoining a small window with security bars.

The east gable of the stable shows at the top on the left and right a broad and flat 3-light window. On the left a 9-light door with 3-light fanlight to the gardener's dwelling and to the right of this a 4-light window with shutters.

In the south gable of the gardener's dwelling four 10-light sash windows with venetian blinds and on the storey on the window bays in the middle two casement 4-light windows with flat 4-light fanlights. From the storey this gable is covered with painted vertical sections. Interior: the stable shows its original layout from circa 1900 with on the south and east side three single and two double boxes, separated from each other by wooden partitions, which are terminated at the front by a round pillar with spherical crowned piece. The wall side of the boxes is lined with alternating white and yellow tiles.
