Omschrijving
R.K. Kerk van St. Lambertus. Laatgotische kruiskerk, in 1882 gerestaureerd, in 1944 grotendeels verwoest, restauratie voltooid in 1951. Bestaande uit een zesdelige gesloten koor, geheel met natuursteen bekleed transept, een bij de restauratie, in gewijzigde vorm herbouwd driebeukig schip en een 15e eeuwse toren van baksteen met banden van natuursteen, met steunberen en verdeeld in zes geledingen met lisenen en boogfriezen. In het koor een aantal eiken beelden, gespaard gebleven uit de in 1944 verwoeste koorbanken, die afkomstig waren uit de abdij van St. Bernard op de Schelle en vervaardigd waren door Artus Quellien de Jonge, Lodewijk Willemsens, Hendrik Frans Verbruggen e.a. in 1690-1699. Description
R.C. Church of St. Lambertus. Late Gothic cruciform church, restored in 1882, largely destroyed in 1944, restoration completed in 1951. Consisting of a six-part closed choir, transept entirely clad with natural stone, a three-aisled nave rebuilt in altered form at the time of restoration, and a 15th-century brick tower with bands of natural stone, with buttresses and divided into six sections with pilaster strips and arch friezes. In the choir a number of wooden statues, preserved from the choir stalls destroyed in 1944, which came from the abbey of St. Bernard on the Schelle and were made by Artus Quellien the Younger, Lodewijk Willemsens, Hendrik Frans Verbruggen and others in 1690-1699.
