Omschrijving
Zeszijdige houten THEEKOEPEL onder overhangende rietgedekte kap met gesneden houten lijst en gedraaide hoek-ornamenten, uitgevoerd in late Empire-trant rond het midden van de 19e eeuw, en in oorsprong behorend tot het aan de overzijde van de Vecht gelegen Gunterstein.
De witgeverfde koepel heeft een omlopend balcon, steunend op gesneden colonnetten en voorzien van gedraaide gietijzeren spijlen, evenals de rechte toegangstrap. Met uitzondering van de eenvoudige houten deur is de gepleisterde beganegrond vrijwel blind.
De verdieping bevat zes hoekpilasters en in het midden van elke zijde een rondboogvenster met brede middenstijl, vierruitsverdeling onder en gebogen drieruitsverdeling boven, waarbij tegenover de trap Franse tuindeuren in dezelfde trant zijn aangebracht.
De kap wordt voorts bekroond door een gedraaide pinakel.

Description
Six-sided wooden TEA PAVILION beneath an overhanging thatched roof with carved wooden moulding and turned corner ornaments, executed in late Empire style around the middle of the 19th century, and originally belonging to Gunterstein situated on the opposite side of the Vecht.
The whitewashed pavilion has a continuous balcony, supported on carved colonnettes and furnished with turned cast-iron balusters, as well as the straight access staircase. With the exception of a simple wooden door, the plastered ground storey is virtually blind.
The upper storey contains six corner pilasters and in the centre of each side a round-arched window with wide central mullion, four-light glazing below and curved three-light glazing above, with French garden doors in the same style positioned opposite the staircase.
The roof is further crowned by a turned pinnacle.
A Empire tea pavilion situated directly on the Vecht, important on account of its characteristic appearance, type and location, and also as a reminder of the historical country-house development along the Vecht.
