Inleiding
Door een HEKWERK begrensd HERTENKAMP met STAL in Chalet-stijl, uit 1910, als onderdeel van de buitenplaats Nijenrode.
De buitenplaats heeft zijn oorsprong in een 13de eeuws kasteel. Belangrijke uitbreidingen en restauraties hebben zich onder meer in de 17de eeuw voorgedaan onder Johan I Ortt, die ook de opdracht gaf voor de aanleg van een formele tuin. Vanaf 1907 was de buitenplaats in het bezit van de Amsterdamse koffiehandelaar Michiel Onnes. Hij liet het kasteel onder leiding van architect E.G. Wentinck herstellen naar een 17de eeuwse situatie en voegde enkele bijgebouwen toe. De tuinarchitecten L.A. Springer en H. Copijn waren verantwoordelijk voor de tussen 1912-1915 tot Landschappelijke tuin omgevormde aanleg met een gemengd karakter. Thans zetelt Nijenrode Universiteit voor Bedrijfskunde in het kasteel en is met de aankoop van grond in de richting van het Amsterdam Rijnkanaal het grondgebied van de buitenplaats opnieuw vergroot.
Omschrijving
De hertenkamp met stal bevindt zich zuidelijk in het park. De stal bevindt zich in de zuid-westelijke hoek van de zuidelijk op de buitenplaats Nijenrode gelegen hertenkamp. Het wordt door een ijzeren hekwerk begrensd dat bestaat uit gekromde stijlen waartussen vijf regels, de laatste geplaatst aan het uiteinde van de kromming.
De vrijstaande stal is vanuit een rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken in geteerde houten delen op een gemetselde plint. Horizontale rabatdelen, worden afgewisseld met verticale delen. De schuur bestaat uit twee bouwlagen, waarvan de tweede bouwlaag uitkraagt en rust op houten klossen. Het zadeldak is gedekt met riet. De vensters bevatten houten vier-ruits vaste - of uitzetramen.
De symmetrische voorgevel (noordzijde) bevat een entree onder een met leien gedekt luifeltje en op de verdieping een driedelig venster met vierruits ramen als standaardtype. De identieke zijgevels hebben begane gronds telkens twee vensters. De achtergevel (zuidzijde) heeft alleen op de verdieping aan weerszijden van een hooiluik een venster.
Waardering
De door een hekwerk begrensde hertenkamp is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een hertenkamp met stal uit 1910 in de Chalet-stijl, vanwege het bouwtype en het materiaalgebruik alsmede als onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats Nijenrode. De hertenstal heeft ensemblewaarde als beeldbepalend onderdeel van de Hertenkamp en vanwege de ligging binnen de parkaanleg en de ruimtelijk-functionele relatie met de andere onderdelen van het complex.

The country estate has its origins in a 13th-century castle. Description
The deer park with stable is situated in the south of the park. The stable is situated in the south-western corner of the deer park located south on the country estate Nijenrode.
