Omschrijving
R.K. Kerk van St. Dionysius ofwel "Heikesekerk". Kerk in Waterstaatsstijl uit 1827-1829, bestaande uit een schip van drie even hoog gewelfde beuken en driezijdig gesloten koor, van 1895 in neogotische trant gewijzigd en met twee kapellen aan de westzijde uitgebreid; aangebouwd aan de 15e eeuwse toren van een voorafgaande kerk, drie geledingen tellende en voorzien van een ten dele uitgemetselde traptoren, bekroond door een van vier- tot achtkant ingesnoerde spits met lantaarn en peervormige top. De kerk bezit een gemarmerd hoogaltaar uit de 18e eeuw, afkomstig van de Burchtkerk te Antwerpen. Preekstoel in Waterstaatsstijl. 19e eeuws eiken beeld van St. Thomas van Aquino. Eikenhouten klokkenstoel met gelui bestaande uit klok van M. Marischal, 1654, diam. 127 cm. en drie moderne klokken. Mechanisch torenuurwerk, later voorzien van elektrische opwinding.

Description
R.C. Church of St. Dionysius or "Heikesekerk". Church in Waterstaatsstijl from 1827-1829, consisting of a nave with three equally high vaulted aisles and three-sided closed choir, from 1895 modified in neogothic manner and extended with two chapels on the west side; attached to the 15th century tower of a preceding church, consisting of three storeys and provided with a partly bricked spiral staircase, crowned by a spire narrowed from four- to eight-sided with lantern and pear-shaped top. The church possesses a marbled high altar from the 18th century, originating from the Burchtkerk in Antwerpen. Pulpit in Waterstaatsstijl. 19th century oak statue of St. Thomas Aquinas. Oak wooden bell frame with bell installation consisting of bell by M. Marischal, 1654, diam. 127 cm. and three modern bells. Mechanical tower clock, later provided with electric winding.
