Ned. Herv. Kerk. Gotische kerk, bestaande uit een driezijdig gesloten koor met sacristie, beide in 1457 opgetrokken op 14e eeuws muurwerk, een enkele decennia jonger schip met zijbeuken, lage dwarspanden, tussen 1495 en 1502 toegevoegd, en een ingebouwde 14e eeuwse toren, die in de 15e eeuw met een klokkeverdieping verhoogd is. Hersteld in de 17e, 18e en 19e eeuw. Het gehele gebouw van baksteen met sobere toepassing van natuursteen, het 14e eeuwse deel van de toren geheel van baksteen. Van belang is ook de muur rondom het hoge kerkhof met steunberen en met ingang aan de Kromstraat. Eenklaviers orgel, in 1836 gemaakt door J.W. Timpe voor de R.K. Kerk te Veenhuizen. In 1904 is het orgel door het Rijk aangekocht en in 1967 overgedragen aan de kerkvoogdij van Halsteren.

Description
Dutch Reformed Church. Gothic church, consisting of a three-sided closed choir with sacristy, both erected in 1457 on 14th-century masonry, a nave with side aisles slightly younger by a few decades, with low transepts, added between 1495 and 1502, and an incorporated 14th-century tower, which was heightened in the 15th century with a bell storey. Restored in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. The entire building of brickwork with restrained use of natural stone, the 14th-century part of the tower entirely of brickwork. Interior with natural stone columns with crocket capitals; columns and transverse arches continued along the south side of the tower, which indicates a project to extend the nave westwards and demolish the tower for this purpose. At this tower perpendicular buttresses along the oldest section and a pointed barrel vault over the lower space; a cross vault in the sacristy. From 1648 to 1799 Reformed, after 1809 to 1912 Roman Catholic, thereafter a patronage building; in 1962 restored and again fitted out for Reformed worship. Also of importance is the wall around the high churchyard with buttresses and with entrance at Kromstraat. One-manual organ, made in 1836 by J.W. Timpe for the R.C. Church at Veenhuizen. In 1904 the organ was purchased by the State and in 1967 transferred to the church wardens of Halsteren.
