The National Monuments Service's description
Attached to the E wall of the N transept towards the N end. This is the damaged base of a limestone tomb-cover (Wth 0.68m ; H 0.7m; T 0.13m) with the inscription and decoration in relief. The inscription is in roman lettering, and is in Latin on the long sides and English at the bottom. Although no date is recorded it is probably 17th century. On the right is …NTIN..VI. OBIST. And on the left is ..IVE OBIST. In the panel below the base of a cross is:
LET NO DAYE PASSE…./PASSE NO PART OF THE DAYE/LEST THOUE DOE PASS/AS DAYES DOE…
