The National Monuments Service's description
In the graveyard (TS061-025046-) N of the choir of the cathedral (TS061-025003-) on the Rock of Cashel. A 17th-century graveslab which was recorded by FitzGerald (1903, vol. 5, 448) as having an inscription in raised letters which he transcribes as: HIC JACET ANNA SALL VIDVA IACOBI SALL DE MELDROM ARMIGER AO REGY IVRIS ASSESSORIS OBYT 27 MENSIS MAY ANNO DOMINI 1674 AETATIS SVAE SEXAGESIMO SEXTO. To this was added in english, in incised lettering: HERE LIES THE BODY OF IOHN W[HIT]E A DESCENDANT OF THE YOUNG[S AND] BOTYONS AND S[ALLS] OF MELDROM. FitzGerald (ibid.) gives the translation of the latin as, 'Here lies Anna Sall widow of James Sall of Meldrom, Esquire and Assessor of Royal Law [Magistrate?] She died 27th of May A.D. 1674 in the 66th year of her age'.
