The National Monuments Service's description
Lying in the choir of the cathedral (TS061-025003-) on the Rock of Cashel. The lower portion of a slab (L 0.98m; Wth 0.71m; T 0.07m) which is cracked horizontally above the cross-base and the base of the slab is missing. It is decorated with a cross-shaft, terminating in two cross-bands of unequal length, which surmount a pillar-base form (Maher 1997, 74). A latin inscription, in Black Letter script, which is quite worn, occurs on both sides of the slab and continues with three further lines of script on either side of the cross-shaft (ibid.). Fitzgerald (1901-03, vol. 5, 445) describes the inscription as 'illegible'.
