The National Monuments Service's description
A peatland survey carried out in 2006 by Archaeological Development Services recorded a wooden platform measuring in ‘width 3.54m, depth 0.17m’ (Whitaker 2006, 79). Described by Whitaker (2006, 79) as ‘this site was located to the north of TI-LTN16a and was visible in the drain face, 0.42m below the field surface. It was composed of regularly laid roundwood elements interspersed with occasional brushwood. All elements were orientated northeast-southwest and were well preserved. They measured 0.03 to 0.12m in diameter. The peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with frequent Calluna inclusions’.
