The National Monuments Service's description
A peatland survey carried out in 2006 by Archaeological Development Services recorded a wooden platform measuring in ‘width 0.55m, depth 0.04m, length 0.85m’ (Whitaker 2006, 79). The platform was not dated. Described by Whitaker (2006, 79) as, ‘this sighting was located to the north of TI-LTN19. It was visible on the field surface and was composed of three brushwood elements. The elements were orientated northwest-southeast and were well preserved. They measured 0.14 to 0.57m in exposed length and 0.04m in diameter. The peat was composed of well-humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Eriophorum inclusions’.
