The National Monuments Service's description

A peatland survey carried out in 2006 by Archaeological Development Services recorded a togher measuring in ‘width 0.08m, depth 0.05m-0.1m, length 30m’ (Whitaker 2006, 84). Described by Whitaker (2006, 84) as ‘this possible togher was visible at two sightings at the northern end of Littleton Bog close to the dryland on the eastern side of the bog. It was orientated east-west humified and was composed of longitudinally laid roundwood at the eastern end of the possible togher. There were no further sightings of this site. TI-LTNO26a, 223664, 159215, Width 0.08m, Depth 0.05m, Length 1m. This sighting was located at the southwest end of the possible togher and was exposed in the drain face, 0.12m below the field surface. It was composed of four longitudinally laid brushwoods that overlay each other’
