The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located at the base of a natural scarp which borders a flat, lowlying expanse of wet, boggy ground extending to N−NE.
Compact U-shaped grass-covered mound (9.3m NW–SE; c. 11m NE–SW; H 0.6-1m) with a central depression (Wth 1.6m) opening to the NE facing the bog. The SW end of the mound backs up against rising ground. Shattered stone fragments in black, charcoal-rich peaty soil are exposed in parts. Large fragments of charcoal are exposed at the ESE terminal of the SE ‘arm’ of the mound. The mound is largely obscured by brambles, and its full extent is uncertain. A road/trackway (MA092-088----), which extends through the bog, is located c. 25m to SSE.
