The establishment of the monastery of the canonesses of Saint-Sauveur was situated around the years 1230-1240. The decree of 4 August 1792 ended the life of this convent. Its members were dispersed, exiled and the goods sold. From the convent of the Ladies, only the chapter room survives. It is a building similar to the chapter room of the Dominicans' convent, except that this latter has preserved its choir. This arrangement explains the dual function of the building, both chapter room and chapel. Only the lower part of the choir has been preserved, up to the springing of the two corner squinches. Of square plan at ground level, it passes, at the level of the first floor, to an octagonal plan by means of corner squinches. It is covered with an octagonal ribbed vault. Each wall panel was pierced with a pointed arch opening, except the eastern wall which was pierced with an oculus. On the Impasse Zola there still remains the pointed arch door that opened onto the cloister, flanked by two openings. The whole is constructed of white marble.
