En 1865, la commune d'Uza obtint de devenir une paroisse et d'être détachée de celle de Lit et Mixe. L'ancienne chapelle du village étant devenue insuffisante, compte-tenu du nombre d'ouvriers travaillant à la forge, le marquis Romain-Bertrand de Lur-Saluces fit édifier par l'architecte Louis Garros cette église néogothique, de 1867 à 1869. Les volumes extérieurs de proportions élancés sont dominés par le clocher occidental et sa flèche. History
In 1865, the commune of Uza obtained permission to become a parish and to be detached from that of Lit et Mixe. The old chapel of the village having become insufficient, given the number of workers employed at the forge, the marquis Romain-Bertrand de Lur-Saluces had this neo-gothic church erected by the architect Louis Garros, from 1867 to 1869. The external volumes of slender proportions are dominated by the western bell tower and its spire. The choir is surrounded by two adjoining chapels forming absidioles, according to an original arrangement. Inside, the architectural decoration displays a reference to the 13th century. Painted decoration in the apse and the absidioles. The furnishings are contemporary with the construction.
