History
Doubtless Romanesque in origin, the church was remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. The decorative scheme of the early 18th century combines painting, sculpture and furnishings. The interior is entirely covered with painted woodwork. A series of 15th-century frescoes ornaments the vault of the choir. The church was fortified in the 14th century by the English.
