Four à rougir les boulets à réverbère de casemate qui pourrait être du modèle Fourcroy (1788) , situé à proximité du corps de garde de Saint-Pair. Il comprend une grande salle voûtée en berceau, à l'ouest, ouvrant au sud par une porte au linteau légèrement cintré et à l'ouest une grande ouverture cintrée, en partie murée. Celle-ci ouvre sur un couloir accédant à une petite salle voûtée rectangulaire.

History
Furnace for reddening shot with reverberatory casemate which could be of the Fourcroy model (1788), situated near the guard house of Saint-Pair. It comprises a large barrel-vaulted room to the west, opening to the south by a door with a slightly arched lintel and to the west a large arched opening, partly walled up. This opens onto a corridor leading to a small rectangular vaulted room.
