L'emplacement de ce quartier correspond à l'ancienne réserve de chasse du château d'Angoulême, lotie aux 18e et 19e siècles. La façade s'élève sur trois étages et présente un rythme régulier. Le rez-de-chaussée est séparé du premier étage par un bandeau en forte saillie. Il s'ouvre par une porte composée d'un encadrement en tableau et un arc en plein cintre mouluré avec une importante clef à la partie supérieure. Les premier et second étages sont percés de cinq baies selon un rythme très régulier. L'appui des baies est décoré différemment. Au premier, l'appui est très saillant, formé d'un bandeau supporté par de petits pilastres cannelés. Au second, l'appui, très saillant également, est formé d'un bandeau supporté par deux longs pilastres entre lesquels se trouve une sorte de cartouche en saillie.

History
The location of this district corresponds to the former hunting reserve of the château d'Angoulême, developed into plots in the 18th and 19th centuries. The façade rises over three storeys and presents a regular rhythm. The ground floor is separated from the first floor by a band in strong projection. It opens by a door composed of a frame in tableau form and a moulded round arch with a substantial keystone at the upper part. The first and second floors are pierced by five openings in a very regular rhythm. The sill of the openings is decorated differently. On the first, the sill is very prominent, formed of a band supported by small fluted pilasters. On the second, the sill, also very prominent, is formed of a band supported by two long pilasters between which is found a sort of projecting cartouche.
