L'emplacement de ce quartier correspond à l'ancienne réserve de chasse du château d'Angoulême, lotie aux 18e et 19e siècles. Cet immeuble présente un rez-de-chaussée appareillé en refends. Les bossages ornent le mur fermant la cour intérieure, surmontés de cinq séries de petites balustres en pierre, séparées à intervalle régulier de piliers pleins rectangulaires. Une des deux portes présente un encadrement en plein cintre. Une clef importante, creusée de cannelures, orne la partie supérieure. Un entablement surmonte cette porte, supporté par des consoles formées d'une partie cannelée, suivie d'une partie droite ornée d'une goutte.

History
The location of this district corresponds to the former hunting reserve of Angoulême castle, subdivided in the 18th and 19th centuries. This building presents a ground storey with rusticated facing. Rustications ornament the wall closing the inner courtyard, surmounted by five series of small stone balustrades, separated at regular intervals by solid rectangular pillars. One of the two doors presents a round-arch frame. A large key, carved with fluting, ornaments the upper part. An entablature surmounts this door, supported by consoles formed of a fluted part, followed by a straight part decorated with a drop.
