L'emplacement de ce quartier correspond à l'ancienne réserve de chasse du château d'Angoulême, lotie aux 18e et 19e siècles. De plan rectangulaire, cet immeuble est taillé en biais et s'élève sur trois étages, séparés par un bandeau. Le rez-de-chaussée et le premier étage des façades sur rues d'Iéna et Austerlitz, sont percés de quatre fenêtres, chacune ornée d'un appui saillant et rectangulaire. Le rez-de-chaussée de la façade taillée en biais est entièrement occupé par la porte rectangulaire encadrée de deux colonnes doriques supportant un entablement en saillie droit, surmonté à l'étage d'un garde-corps en pierre orné de balustres. Le second étage est percé d'une baie rectangulaire encadrée de deux larges pilastres retombant sur le bandeau de séparation des étages.

History
The location of this district corresponds to the former hunting reserve of the château d'Angoulême, subdivided in the 18th and 19th centuries. Of rectangular plan, this building is cut at an angle and rises over three storeys, separated by a band moulding. The ground floor and first floor of the façades on rues d'Iéna and Austerlitz, are pierced by four windows, each ornamented with a projecting and rectangular sill. The ground floor of the angled façade is entirely occupied by the rectangular door framed by two Doric columns supporting a straight projecting entablature, surmounted on the storey above by an iron railing ornamented with balusters. The second storey is pierced by a rectangular opening framed by two wide pilasters falling on the band moulding separating the storeys.
