L'emplacement de ce quartier correspond à l'ancienne réserve de chasse du château d'Angoulême, lotie aux 18e et 19e siècles. Le rez-de-chaussée est séparé des étages supérieurs par un bandeau droit. Il s'ouvre par une porte cintrée, encadrée irrégulièrement de baies. Dans l'angle de la rue, au rez-de-chaussée, deux murs supportent une terrasse bordée de garde-corps formé de balustres en pierre. Les baies présentent une clé saillante et cannelée, et sont surmontées d'un entablement supporté par des consoles cannelées avec gouttes. La corniche est formée de denticules.

History
The location of this district corresponds to the former hunting reserve of the castle of Angoulême, divided into lots in the 18th and 19th centuries. The ground floor is separated from the upper storeys by a straight band. It opens through a curved door, irregularly framed by openings. In the corner of the street, on the ground floor, two walls support a terrace bordered by a guard rail formed of stone balusters. The openings present a protruding and fluted key-stone, and are surmounted by an entablature supported by fluted consoles with drops. The cornice is formed of dentils.
