Historique
La "villa de Ternant" est mentionnée pour la première fois en 1077. Au 13e siècle, Hugues de Jeu donna l'église au chapitre de la cathédrale de Clermont. L'église actuelle possède un choeur voûté d'ogives au 15e siècle, seul élément de datation ancienne. L'édifice de plan en croix latine possède une nef voûtée en berceau continu. Le choeur se prolonge au nord et au sud par des chapelles plus basses, voûtées en berceau. Une sacristie, située à l'est du choeur, présente un plan carré voûté d'arêtes. History
The "villa of Ternant" is mentioned for the first time in 1077. In the 13th century, Hugues de Jeu gave the church to the chapter of Clermont cathedral. The present church has a choir with rib vault from the 15th century, the sole element of ancient dating. The building with a Latin cross plan has a nave with continuous barrel vault.
