Historique
Avant 1789, la cure était à la nomination de l'abbé d'Issoire. Il y avait un chapitre collégial composé de chanoines en 1789. Toutes les prébendes étaient à la collation de l'évêque de Clermont. Au 16e siècle, ce chapitre possédait une maison forte dans l'intérieur de la forteresse locale pour y tenir en lieu sûr ses archives. £Eglise de plan orienté, composée d'une nef à laquelle a été accolé postérieurement un collatéral nord et une chapelle sud, un transept et un choeur, avec une ancienne chapelle seigneuriale. La croisée du transept est voûtée d'une coupole de quatre grands côtés sur quatre petits, dessinant un octogone irrégulier aux angles arrondis. L'ancienne chapelle seigneuriale a été construite par Rigaud d'Aurelle vers la fin du 15e ou le début du 16e siècle.

History
Before 1789, the curacy was in the nomination of the abbot of Issoire. There was a collegiate chapter composed of canons in 1789. All the prebends were in the collation of the bishop of Clermont. In the 16th century, this chapter possessed a fortified house within the local fortress to keep its archives there in a safe place. Church of oriented plan, composed of a nave to which was later added a north aisle and a south chapel, a transept and a choir, with a former seigneurial chapel. The crossing of the transept is vaulted with a dome of four large sides on four small, drawing an irregular octagon with rounded angles. The former seigneurial chapel was built by Rigaud d'Aurelle towards the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century.
