Historique
L'église dépendait autrefois d'un prieuré de Bénédictins d'Issoire. L'édifice actuel est roman, le clocher ayant été modifié à une époque récente. Le plan présente une nef simple à deux travées carrées, un avant-choeur surélevé barlong suivi d'un choeur terminé en hémicycle. Deux chapelles formant transept flanquent la seconde travée au nord et au sud. La croisée de transept est voûtée d'une coupole sur trompes. Cette coupole est soutenue par quatre arcs en plein cintre. L'abside est en cul-de-four.

History
The church formerly depended on a priory of Benedictines of Issoire. The present building is Romanesque, the bell tower having been modified in a recent period. The plan presents a simple nave with two square bays, a raised oblong ante-choir followed by a choir terminating in a hemicycle. Two chapels forming transept flank the second bay to the north and south. The crossing of the transept is vaulted with a dome on squinches. This dome is supported by four round-arch arches. The apse is in semi-dome.
