Historique
Ancien oratoire donné à l'abbaye de Saint-Amable en 1146, par Aymeric, évêque de Clermont. Cette chapelle d'origine romane se compose d'une nef rectangulaire et d'une abside circulaire. La nef, remaniée au 17e siècle, est voûtée en berceau et l'abside en cul-de-four. A l'intérieur, l'autel cubique en maçonnerie a conservé sa tablette à chanfrein et date de l'origine (11e siècle). Le devant et les côtés portent une décoration formée de bandes verticales grises, blanches, jaunes et rouges, de monogrammes du Christ, d'Ave Maria et de monogrammes confondus de la Vierge et du Christ. History
Former oratory given to the abbey of Saint-Amable in 1146, by Aymeric, bishop of Clermont. This chapel of Romanesque origin consists of a rectangular nave and a circular apse. The nave, altered in the 17th century, is vaulted with a barrel vault and the apse with a cul-de-four vault. Inside, the cubic masonry altar has retained its chamfered table and dates from the original period (11th century). The front and sides bear decoration formed of vertical bands in grey, white, yellow and red, monograms of Christ, Ave Maria and combined monograms of the Virgin and Christ. Above one of the doors of the nave is a shield representing the arms of the chapter of Saint-Amable of Riom.
