History
Malouinière built at the end of the 17th century. This malouinière between courtyard and garden is raised one storey above ground floor and roof space. The openings are framed in granite. The main body of the house is flanked on each side by two short wings. The outbuildings date from the same period. They are crossed by two passages under vaults. The interior of the house suffered from the troubles of the Revolution which transformed it into a coach-house. Some of the ground floor woodwork and the panorama wallpapers from the first floor dating from the First Empire are preserved. In 1807, the property came by marriage to Nicolas Surcouf, elder brother of Robert Surcouf, and like him a corsair and then merchant shipowner.
